A press fitting is a pipe connection made using fittings. Pressing permanently deforms the fitting onto the pipe, creating a perfect mechanical joint. Pressing guarantees a consistently high-quality connection that is easy to reproduce and requires minimal physical effort from the fitter.
Inoxpres® fittings are available in diameters from 15 to 168 mm, whereas most competitors only supply up to 108 mm. Inoxpres® AISI 316L (material number 1.4404) has a low carbon content to reduce corrosion sensitivity. 316L stainless steel fittings can be mounted on a wide range of pipes, from 15 to 168 mm in diameter. A patented profiled O-ring is fitted inside, making the sealing surface 20% larger. Typical applications include the drinking water industry, heating and cooling equipment, solar thermal, compressed air and fire-protection systems.
Marinepres® is available in diameters from 15 to 108 mm. Cunifer is one of the most resistant and best-performing solutions in saline environments. At the end of production, each fitting is fitted with a green FKM O-ring with a patented profile. Green FKM O-rings can be used between -20 and +220 °C, with a maximum pressure of 16 bar. Marinepres® fittings are the best choice when intrinsic corrosion resistance of the material is required — for brackish water, waste water, heating and cooling, solar thermal, compressed air, fire-protection systems and, in general, any application in saline and corrosive environments.
We also supply weldable bulkhead penetrations from 15 to 108 mm in cunifer (Marinepres®) and stainless steel (Inoxpres®), used for running pipes through bulkheads. 90% of Inoxpres® and Marinepres® fittings are produced seamlessly and are 100% compatible with M-profile tooling and press machines. The systems are certified by Lloyd's Register, ABS, Bureau Veritas, DNV/GL, RINA, CCS and more. All fittings are marked with work numbers for full product traceability.
